Hey Wonny, how about a t-shirt?

It's our second to the last day in Stockholm, and we've moved out from our temporary home for the past three weeks in Odengatan 12, which was only rented out for the month of April. My mother's friend from college, Tita Y is married to the prefect of the law school, offered to take us in for one night before we head home.

So here we are in Västmannagan 12, where this post is very openly shared with us by unsecured wireless network Wonny.

So the foreign words above, are the street names (I think gatan means street but that's coming from the girl who bought sour cream because there was a picture of a cow in the packaging thinking it was milk so don't trust me haha) and the number that follows it is the street number. We're on the third floor, which in the Philippines would be the fourth, because they start with floor zero over here.

We've just finished our last minute shopping, buying t-shirts galore. Shirts for grandmother, father, mother, brother, sister, baby, boyfriend, assistant, helper 1, helper 2, driver and bodyguard. Swedish customs will probably be amazed in the various Sverige (Swedish for Sweden), Stockholm, We love Stockholm, Absolut Sweden, Stockholm University, Stockholm Universitet and Stockholm the beautiful capital of Scandinavia t-shirts that range from XS to XXL.

Every store attendant has greeted me or my mother with either "Hey" or "Hey Hey," which I find totally refreshing instead of our usual "Hi" or "Hello." I think the Swedish say it better though with their accent. My mother is afraid of the Hey. In her experience, people have tended to say it a bit loudly, scaring the bejesus out of her. Ma also thinks the Hey is the Swedish counterpart of the Filipino Hoy, which I think could be right but not really because we usually yell out the Hoy when we're pretty pissed. But maybe that's just me.
