Stealing
This time I'm really stealing wi-fi. I'm sitting like a guilty thief with my mom's laptop typing this as fast as I can without the grammatical and spelling errors. I'm in a rented apartment in Stockholm where there are about 10 secured networks and yes, one unsecured network: LinkSys-ComHem-Nas. This morning, just as my mom and I were about to step out to head to the university, he catches me. Suddenly he has a pass key. He's caught on that I steal his wi-fi in the mornings before 9 a.m. Well, that doesn't stop me. That's why I'm doing this now, in the dark, while trying to find and english program on swedish television.
Sweden: Where only Jessica Simpson speaks english
The past couple of nights, there have been some American movies in one of the channels but in the morning, I'm stuck with Alyssa Milano's SheerCover commercial and Jessica Simpson's ProActiv commercial. Those two commercials were the only English on TV. But why do I watch TV when I can go out and explore and freeze my ass off? But I'm not wasting my vacation sitting in front of the TV. It's just when I slather lotion all over my body before I head out and 7 degrees hits me in the face and spreads throughout my body like a laser blast.
Walking
If I don't lose weight from all the walking thats going to happen in three weeks, a vessel is going to burst. And I don't mean ship. I love how everyone walks here. I love how public transportation is organized, on time, efficient. I love the Tunnelbana and the SL buses and bike lanes and street parking and the pedestrian lanes which vehicles respect. There is no traffic in Stockholm ladies and gentlemen. and I've only heard one car horn in the four days that I've been here. As a Filipino driver myself, I couldn't last a day without honking the good ol' horn at the nearest fool who gets in front of my car.
